A former state-winning championship basketball coach at White County High School has reportedly been missing since Friday, May 3, 2024.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert on behalf of White County Sheriff’s Office for Roy Whited, a 64-year-old white male. Whited was currently working in real estate and is a well-known member of the community. Whited is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Whited was last seen on May 3 near the area of Lovejoy Road, in Sparta. He was wearing a beige shirt and cowboy boots.
