Jerry Lee Wilder, 75, of Sparta, passed away Sept. 29, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 28, 1946, in Franklin County, North Carolina, the son of James Wilder and Teresa Perry Wilder.
He served in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Wilder Martin, and three brothers, Johnny Wilder, Douglas Wilder, and James Wilder.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Wilder, of Sparta; sons, Jimmy Patat (Jennifer), of Baxter, Kevin Patat, of Bluffton, Indiana, Duwayne Patat, of Sparta; daughter, Cathy Patat, of Sparta; Daulayne’s children: Ashley Patat, Skyler Allen, Jade Honeycutt, Tyler Patat, Savannah Noble, Rhianna Woble; Jimmy’s children: Casey Patat Whitworth, Stephanie Patat, Cody Patat, Shyanne Phipps; Kevin’s children: Shelby Patat, Savannah Patat Davis; very special person and dedicated caregiver, Chiquita Patat, of Sparta; sister, Judy Glanville (Jim), of Columbia, South Carolina; brothers, Mickey Wilder, of Spartanburg, South Caroline, Rex Wilder, of Columbia, South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Oct. 5, 2021, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with James Post officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery, with full military honors provided by the Veterans’ Honor Guard. The family will welcome friends 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Oct. 5, at the funeral home.
