Funeral service for Flossie Marie Massa, 93, of Sparta, will be 2 p.m., June 21,2024, at Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Boiling Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m., June 21, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Massa passed away June 16, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Cookeville/Putnam County, to William and Vesta Bussell Massa.
Marie, as she was known, was a homemaker and attended Athens Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Massa; son, J.W. Massa; granddaughter, Lora Beth Hyder; and a grandson, Corey Massa.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joe Massa, Darrell (Debbie) Massa; one daughter and companion, Mollie Massa and Steven Parker; three grandchildren, Jared Massa, Tim Dunn, Jessica Massa; and five great-grandchildren, Dylan Massa, Aurora McCumbers, Thea McCumbers, and J.D. and Malcom Hyder.
