Notie Jo Robinson, 84, of Sparta, passed away Aug. 28, 2024, at her residence, with family by her side.
Notie Jo was born Sept. 2, 1939, in Sparta, to Hershel “Monk” and Notie Jane Rose Jenkins.
She was a long-time member of Sparta First Free Will Baptist Church. She worked at Sparta Shirt Factory, Red Kap, White County Health Department, and Avco Aeronautics.
Notie Jo was preceded in death by her siblings, Wallace Jenkins, Mary Lou Hutson, Hollis Jenkins, Geneva Keathley, Rosa Nell Carter, Jimmy Jenkins, Author Lee Jenkins, and John Thomas Jenkins.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Jimmy Carl Robinson; children, Janie (Randy) Cowan, of Sparta, James Wallace (Sandy) Robinson, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; grandchildren, Grayson (Brandi) Winningham, Ashley (Atticus) Coleman, Cody (Kristy) Robinson, Thad (Melinda) Robinson, Joey (Tracie) Cowan, Anna Cherry (Shane), Aaron (Alica) Estes, Katina England Huff (Colby), Seth England (Chelsea), Ashton Doss; ad great-grandchildren, Asa Coleman, Apollo Coleman, Cooper Robinson, Fin Robinson, Hawthorne Robinson, Parker Cowan, Dalton Cherry, Kaden Cherry, LeiAnna Cherry, Tatum Estes, Kami Clark, and Kimber Huff.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Aug. 31, 2024, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with burial in Rose Chapel Cemetery. Dan Horton and Gary Farris officiated.
Pallbearers were Grayson Winningham, Atticus Coleman, Thad Robinson, Ray Robinson, Bill Jenkins, and Charles Sims.
Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of Sparta First Free Will Baptist Church.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
