The market for restaurants continues to boom in Sparta, as large chains and local businesses alike come to White County. Jaxito Burrito Company, located on 392 W. Bockman Way, alongside Toro Nutrition, began business in October 2024, and it has enjoyed a lot of early success thanks to the community.
Jason Del Toro has been delighted with the business’s success thus far. He believes the business’s commitment to fresh, healthy, and fast food has helped them quickly grow and become a local staple. Del Toro also feels the restaurant’s determination to make the food and ingredients fresh daily allows for them to provide a type of food service that is not as common in Sparta. However, there have been a few struggles to keep that ball rolling.
The location seemed a bit out of the way for some, so Del Toro worked hard to secure signage to help bring awareness to their location. The restaurant has also not been able to provide as many options for dinner, as well as not being open too late in the evening, closing at 6:30 p.m. Del Toro has begun to expand staffing and provide more hours as business continues to bring in regulars. With more staff and hours to operate on, they hope to provide more and more.
More than anything else, however, Del Toro is excited to continue providing quality restaurant service to the residents of White County.
“I love Sparta, and I love food,” Del Toro said. “If I don’t have to leave Sparta to eat, I’m not going to. We keep the business here to keep the growth in Sparta.”
Jaxito Burrito Company is eager to continue providing fast, fresh, and friendly service for years to come. The restaurant is open 11 a.m-6:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., on Saturday.
