Faith Jam grows and relocates to White County Fairgrounds for 2024

The annual Faith Jam, likened to a Christian Bonnaroo, is set to take center stage at the White County Fairgrounds, on Sept. 28. Now in its third year, the event has garnered increasing popularity, prompting organizers to relocate from the Sparta Drive-In to accommodate a growing audience.

Founder Daniel Burgess, celebrating his 13th year of sobriety, initiated Faith Jam to extend support and hope to individuals on their recovery journey. What started with 200 attendees in its inaugural year ballooned to 2,000 by 2023, drawing participants from across the Southeast.

“We’ve seen an overwhelming response,” Burgess remarked. “We have had to turn away artists due to scheduling constraints. Our goal is to expand into a multi-day event to where we could accept more artists and expand our schedule of entertainment, but that depends on securing enough volunteers and sponsors.”

Faith Jam isn’t just about music; it’s a holistic effort to aid those in recovery. At the upcoming event, attendees can receive training in Narcan administration, courtesy of dedicated volunteers. One Cut Above will offer complimentary haircuts, while representatives from Relentless Faith Ministries will guide individuals interested in beginning their sobriety journey toward rehabilitation resources.

“We want Faith Jam to be a beacon of support,” Burgess emphasized. “It’s more than a concert; it’s a community gathering with a purpose.”

In addition to soul-stirring performances by artists like Rare of Breed, ASAP Preach, and Joe Nester, last year’s event witnessed 43 baptisms, underscoring its profound impact on attendees.

Those interested in contributing can support the cause by becoming sponsors or setting up craft and food booths. Sponsorship inquiries can be directed to Burgess, at Bargain Supply Warehouse, in Sparta, or by donating directly to Relentless Faith Ministries, at First National Bank.

Tickets to Faith Jam are priced at $15, with proceeds benefiting Relentless Faith Ministries’ efforts in addiction recovery. They can be purchased online at eventbrite.com or at Bargain Supply Warehouse leading up to the event.

As September approaches, anticipation builds for an uplifting day of music, fellowship, and support at Faith Jam 2024. For more information and updates, visit Relentless Faith Ministries on Facebook or contact Daniel Burgess directly.
