Report Inappropriate Comments

You failed to mention that the city is already taxing White County residents at a rate of 9.75%. All the referendum does set the county tax at the same rate. County residents are spending money in the city, paying the city tax and receiving no benefit from it. If the county tax is raised, then the city will be required to SHARE some of their tax revenue with the county. Of course you don't want it to change...you don't want to share tax revenue with the very people who are paying it.
